This months community day event is featuring Alolan Geodude, with a special move and more bonuses.
Date and time
Alolan Geodude will be appearing more frequently on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m local time. Niantic has also updated special research story’s, you can now gift them to friends.
Making it’s Pokémon Go debut is the fast move Rollout. Rollout can generate energy quickly. It has 4 power in trainer battles and 14 power for gyms and raids.
Event bonuses
- 3x Stardust for catching Pokémon
- 2x Candy for catching Pokémon
- 2x chance to receive Geodude XL candy from catching Alolan Geodude
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
- Lure modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
- One additional special trade can be made during the event
- Trades during the event will require 50% less stardust
There are also extra bonuses for trainers in groups. If enough Pokémon are caught with help from a single Lure Module, the 3x stardust bonus will change to a 4x stardust bonus while near the lure module.
